Structure your Company Correctly When owning and operating a company, a person must protect themselves personally as much as possible. There are four ways to have a legal structure a Company. You can operate as a proprietorship, a partnership, a cooperative or by incorporating a limited company called a corporation. The best way to protect your personal interests from litigation is through incorporation. Proprietorship is the simplest and least expensive from a structured point of view, but you do not have any personal protection. Most partnerships do not work from a short range, long range, duties, responsibilities point of view. Differences of opinion often get in the way of management and production. We recommend incorporating a limited company for best personal liability protection even though it cost between $500.00 and $1000.00 to have the legal work and registration completed.
